The question “How can I help?”,
were not just words to Bill.
For over 48 years I have experienced how
this question was an ever-attentive mindset…
an others-centered commitment
that characterized his life.
More than any person I have ever known,
Bill purposed to live his life as:
a Servant of God who fully obeys His Word,
a Shepherd of God who fully loves His People,
and a Steward of God who fully completes His Work.
- Pastor Dan H.

Tributes
Uncle Bill,
Your steadfast faith and quiet devotion to the Lord have touched so many hearts. The way you lived — humble, faithful, and always trusting in God’s goodness — continues to inspire us deeply. We will carry your love and your testimony with us always. We give thanks for his life and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind — a legacy of devotion to God and love for his family.
- Jenny & Roger T.
Bill's returning to the Lord created such a void in many people's lives. His life emulated the life of Jesus Christ. He has love for everyone that crosses paths with him. His love of his Lord speaks volumes through the life he lives. With his strong faith and trust in the Lord, nothing happening in this world shakes him from his foundation of loving God and loving others as himself.
Rest in His loving arms Uncle Bill. God willing we shall meet again.
- Dr. Fred & Tillie K.
Dr. Lee was a fatherly mentor to me and to all of his students. He taught us to appreciate the beauty of Electromagnetic Physics, but most importantly, he showed us what a true Christian looks like. He was kind, humorous, and always cheerful - relentlessly reaching out to listen, share, and guide selflessly. Many of his students came to faith solely through the witness of Dr. Lee and his dear wife, Mirian. I am deeply saddened to part from him, as well as his warmth and guidance, alongside the countless others whose lives he touched. Yet, we take comfort in knowing he walked faithfully with the Lord's love, blessings, and commands. Now and forever, he rests joyfully in the presence of the Lord, waiting for the day we will all be reunited.
- Steven W.

I first came to know Bill as a teammate on Navigators staff, and from the very beginning, one thing was unmistakable: Bill believed that ministry was never about programs or strategies alone — it was about people, and it started at home.
Working alongside him, I saw how naturally this conviction spilled over into his ministry.
He never saw the people he discipled as projects to complete — he saw them as family to invest in for a lifetime.
When Bill and his family answered the call to serve in Taiwan, he brought this same heart with him.
He didn't arrive to build an organization; he arrived to build relationships — sitting at dinner tables, learning language and culture with humility, and treating every person he met as someone worth knowing deeply, not just reaching quickly.
That's what made Bill different as a teammate. He measured faithfulness not by numbers, but by whether people felt truly known and loved.
“We sincerely hope that whenever anyone leaves our home, their worries and burdens will be even a little lighter than when they arrived”
Bill's legacy isn't found in a title or a position — it's found in the families he strengthened, the disciples he walked alongside for years, and the quiet, steady example he set of what it looks like to love God by first loving the people closest to you.
I'm grateful I got to serve beside him and see, up close, a life that practiced what it preached.
- Pastor Masao T.
Emulating our Lord, he made each person he met feel special and important.

Deep sadness in the loss of a legend. - Danny C.
My deepest condolences to Bill's family and to the thousands he would have impacted for our Lord Jesus.
If there is one person I would single out that I want to emulate my life with, it would be "Uncle Bill".
As I find myself being addressed "Uncle Wes" more and more as I age, I fondly remind myself what a privilege it is to point people to Jesus, just as Bill did most of his life. I look forward to sharing stories with him when we meet again.
- Wes. W.

We miss Bill - my mentor and an extraordinary friend. He is without doubt my Hero and an exemplary Man of God.
- Dr. Say Gark O.

He was not only a dear friend, but a true and faithful servant of God whose life, faith, and dedication touched countless lives including mine. While we mourn his loss here on earth, we take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the presence of the Lord, having heard the words: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
- Abram S.
My heart goes out to you in your loss of Bill’s vivacious presence & his contributions to so many, including me. He will not be forgotten, & the fruit of his life will continue to multiply our thanksgiving for the privilege of calling him ‘friend.’
Blessings & peace, with love., Anne A.
It is with profound sadness that we received news Dr. Lee had gone to be with the Lord. During his life, Dr. Lee fulfilled the mission entrusted to him by God. We are deeply grateful that we had the opportunity to meet Dr. Lee and his wife during our university years, and to receive Dr. Lee's nurturing, guidance, friendship and care. This has been one of the greatest blessings of our lifves.
- Dr. Mao Jiun W.
To our most beloved Dr. Lee, the father of our Tunghai Physics 18th graduating class. Thank you for your teaching and care over the past fifty-plus years. Because of you, many of our classmates not only gained academic knowledge, but also received much grace from the Lord, and spiritual comfort through you. Thank you, it was truly wonderful to have you in our lives. Although your physical body has gone home to be with our Heavenly Father and are now by His side, you will forever live in our hearts. Everything you did and everything you stood for will always be our example and inspiration. May you rest in peace.
- Shilung C.
Although Dr. Lee held a Ph.D. in Physics and was a university professor, in 1970, he responded to God's calling and came to Taiwan to serve as a missionary with The Navigators. He devoted his entire life without reservation to this land, focusing on the mission of evangelism and disciple multiplication.
Throughout the course of life, he was not only an imparter of knowledge, but also our attentive guide in faith and daily living. He planted the vision of multiplication deep in our hearts, teaching us how to impact lives through our own lives and build a solid foundation of discipleship.
What was most admirable about Dr. Lee was his humility and self-sacrifice that ran to the very marrow of his bones.
Looking back to when we were married 51 years ago, he not only generously lent us his own car as the bridal car, but also gladly served as the driver himself. A highly learned professor and missionary was willing to stoop down and serve with such humility. That scene was etched deeply in my heart, allowing me to see with my own eyes what it means to have the form of a servant of Christ Jesus. He was a true Christian through and through.
Dr. Lee placed tremendous importance on family and teaching by personal example, earnestly teaching us how to pass the torch of faith from generation to generation. Because of his inspiration and teaching, today my son also serves as a professor on a university campus taking up the baton of campus ministry and continuing to lead young students to Christ.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith."
Dr. Lee lived a life of humble obedience and faithfulness to the very end, writing the most moving chapter of faith with his life. Now he has rested from his earthly labors and returned to the warm embrace of our Heavenly Father.
May we carry on his example and aspirations, live out the love of Christ in our respective callings, pass on the mission of multiplying disciples from generation to generation, and glorifying the Lord's Name.
- Dr. Tam C.

We are grateful for Bill's life and legacy. The impact of his servanthood is immeasurable. - Pastor Filipe B.
I tasted God in my interactions with Uncle Bill and I always felt cared for in his presence. I still find it hard to believe he ever had a temper, but now that I'm a believer, I can see how he died to his old self and how much he loves Jesus. His dedication praying at the Well and asking me every time how I was doing is forever etched in my heart. I look forward to singing hymns and seeing his amazing smile again one day!
- Dannis C.
We are so grateful for everything Uncle Bill did and meant to the CCC and LPC families. For all the bible studies, mentoring and conversations throughout the years... For a smile that never seemed to end... Uncle Bill was a pillar of light. We will miss him very much. May he rest peacefully in heaven with Jesus.
Love, Kevin, Lilian & Kyle T.
Bill and I were roommates during his senior year at the University of Washington. We were 2 out of 5 living in the home of Gordy and Marge Strom, a young couple who had the vision of inviting young Christian men to live with and be discipled by them, while simultaneously practicing what it means to be a disciple in the context of living together as a family in Christ. That guidance, mutual support and accountability in the close quarters of a family setting resulted in great spiritual benefit and the creation of lifelong bonds of friendship between all of us, not least of which was mine with Bill. A few years later, I was privileged to be the best man at his wedding to Mirian. Not only was Bill tall, (not dark) and handsome, physically strong and athletic, he was kind, gentle and fun loving in spirit. As a roommate, he was always considerate and there never arose any conflict between us. His gentle spirit and intellectual prowess were ideal traits for his subsequent calling to ministry in Taichung as a professor of physics and mentor to students. From that base and through his faithful application of the principles of discipleship first learned during our time at the Stroms’ home, Bill’s ministry widened in Taiwan and Asia, impacting countless lives for the Kingdom. Bill’s lifelong ministry with Mirian in Taiwan came with great cost and sacrifice, including the loss of a beloved daughter at a young age. But there is no doubt that “the genuineness of their faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it be tested by fire, will be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:7)
- Dr. Bob Li

My heart aches to hear the. news, but I am so grateful for the profound impact Dr. Lee had on my life as my teacher and mentor. His wisdom, kindness, and gentle spirit will always stay with me.
With deepest love and prayers, Wenston

- James Y.
In memory of Pastor Lee. Growing up at Tunghai University was a true blessing. The warm smiles of Pastor Lee and his family, filled with the Lord’s grace and joy, remain vividly in my heart even now. I still clearly remember one children’s retreat. That early morning I arrived a little earlier at the meeting room and saw Pastor Lee outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, quietly having his morning watch. From a distance I watched him commune with the Lord in peaceful and reverent devotion. Later that morning, when he shared with us, he spoke about the importance of coming before the Lord early each day. Without realizing it, a seed of life was gently planted in my young heart that day. Although I was not connected with the church during my teenage years at Tunghai, after I became a Christian at the age of twenty while studying at National Cheng Kung University, that quiet influence continued to draw me back to the Lord through every high and low. The strength that pushed me to seek God’s face has always been real and full of encouragement. Thank the Lord for the living testimony of Christ in Pastor Lee. His life has blessed so many, and the memory of his gentle, joyful walk with the Lord still brings comfort and warmth to our hearts today.
- Florence F.

Uncle Bill was a wonderful presence in our lives and such an inspiration to all. Each time I saw him thru the years, among other topics of conversation he always shared some deep insight about my work and/or offered suggestions re: things to write about in the future. I enjoyed those moments of true connection, which was one of his gifts. A gift a bit more rare in this world than one would think!
- Diane M.
His response in The Philippines during the New Staff Institute in 1982, when he lost his daughter has always been a testimony. Bill said, "how can I glorify God in this?"

Uncle Bill has a special part in our life. I will never forget his guiding and supporting hand when I was at the lowest point of my life. His cheerful smile with organic carrot juice for us at The Well in the mornings. His kind voice and his humbleness to come and pray behind the curtain. These small but big things he did have left a lasting impression in my life...
He was such a beautiful soul and made such a big impact on the young adults.
We have deep, deep admiration for Bill. He was truly a saintly man.
- Bill R.
Uncle Bill, I miss your smile and all the celebrations at Kind Edward House. Your loving care for everyone who entered the house - and for everyone you met wherever you went - was truly special. People from all over the world came to King Edward House to pray, meet up, share fellowship, and even borrow cars! Your kitchen was always the busiest place in the house, and somehow it produced the most amazing organic compost for your greenhouse. Thank God for you and adn the life you lived... Thank you for your generosity and willing to invest time in our lives. I can only imagine that you are having the best birthday celebration in heaven. You were an extraordinary leader by example - someone who followed Christ by giving of yourself so that others could experience the love of Jesus. Thank you, Uncle Bill, for showing us what it means to love, serve, and live for others. You are deeply missed and will always be remembered.

Uncle Bill, you were truly such a kind, gentle and loving soul who truly touched the lives of everyone that came into contact with you. We're blessed and grateful to have met you and the impact you have left on us will never be forgotten. Until we meet again.
- Adam & Liz
Thankful for so many years of friendship. Bill was one of those mentors that always looked to encourage me in ministry but also in family care. Though far removed from UBC, he was constantly thinking of ideas that might be useful for aiding in the raising up of laborers for the Kingdom. In his gentle way he would say, "I was just thinking...." and then go on to elaborate on possibilities. He modelled great faith in what God could do through His people.
- Richie S.
I shall always remember Bill's kind friendly smile in high school as we passed in the hallway between classes. II Timothy 4:7 is perfect to describe his journey. So is he a person whose character reflects the love and presence of the Lord, evident not only in his smile but in all things about him. He has made this world a better place.
- Lola L.
Professor Lee had a great impact on our lives. He was a wonderful teacher in the classroom, and his testimony of living a Christ-like life inspired and encouraged us to live our own lives in a way that reflects. Christ love.
- Rabi & Nina W.

His life was such a strong testament of the gospel as a missionary in Taiwan. Growing up as a missionary kid living at Tunghai Beishu together with the Lees still brings back memories of a godly missionary.
- David R.
He's always in my thoughts of pleasant memories. He had deeply impressed and helped me to focus in serving the LORD. ' Ministry is only for a time but relationship is a lifetime for ever.' His life exhibit what he said. He lived a life examples of CHRIST.
- Grace T.
I love your dad’s huge smile and look forward to a bear hug when we see each other again. His smile is infectious and permeates the room. Mostly it is his deep love for our savior that shines out of him and flows through him. Your father’s love for people is also what inspires him. I have been changed because I know him. As Paul encouraged the church in Corinth to imitate him because he imitated Christ, so I imitated your father and mine.
- Alistair A.
Ever since I married Jason in 1981, I often spoke to him about Professor and Mrs. Lee. Because of my experiences with their ministries back in Taiwan, for many years, whether when we lived in Michigan as students or in Minnesota after graduate school, we would seek out and become very involved in the Navigators’ college and community ministries. We are indeed very thankful to be able to continue with its powerful multiplication vision. So even before Jason met them in person, it felt as though he had already known them for many years.
Back when Jason was a new professor and confided that he wasn't like those eloquent, articulate professors and might not be able to inspire his students and motivate them to learn with his charisma and confidence, I would always bring up Professor and Mrs. Lee. I would tell him how gentle and humble they were, usually speaking in soft, gentle voices. Yet, because of their steadfast faith in God and the clear direction for ministry they received from the vision God gave them (Mathew 28:18, 1 Corinthians 9:23), everything they said and did stemmed from God’s love. That power radiating outward from the depths of their spiritual lives often had a far deeper and more lasting impact on people than the impressive, charismatic public speaking that the world admires.
Furthermore, the senior pastor at our church often mentions that although God is omniscient and omnipotent, He rarely wins people over using overwhelming force (power over). Instead, out of His self-sacrificing love for humanity, He came into the world as a man, taking on the form of a servant (Philippians 2:3-11) . He genuinely cared for human suffering and needs, even humbling Himself to wash His disciples' feet, and voluntarily died on the cross to save humankind from the bondage of sin. God inspires and draws people to follow Him from the depths of their hearts, indwelling them with the Holy Spirit to give them the strength and wisdom needed to walk the heavenly path (power under). He brings people to sincere repentance, bringing them to surrender and commit themselves to become new creations, thereby receiving abundant life. I often told Jason upon hearing such sermons that Professor Lee and his wife were such good ambassadors representing our Heavenly Father. They served people humbly, touched and inspired everyone they met with love, drew people to God, and followed Jesus’ model by wholeheartedly devoting themselves to calling and training disciples. Leading by example, they became role models for many people’s lives. (2 Timothy 2:2).
Later, Jason finally had opportunities to meet Professor and Mrs. Lee. We once stayed overnight at their house in the Tunghai Villa in Taichung many years ago, and we also visited them at their home in Vancouver when our children were young. Then in September 2024, my husband and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to join Professor and Mrs. Lee, and some of their longtime team workers on an Alaskan cruise. On the ship, it took us some effort to find a place (a bar!) to have our group meetings twice a day. Besides worshiping and praying together, we also shared deeply about our personal life stories and our journeys of following the Lord. During one of the gatherings, Mrs. Lee even personally demonstrated how a married couple could maintain long-lasting affection and deep love. She had each husband pick out a beautiful silk scarf from those she had prepared in advance, tie it around his wife's neck, and give her a kiss on the cheek. Although everyone felt a bit shy and bashful, flustered for a moment, we also learned from this experience some of the secrets behind how Professor Lee and his wife remained so deeply in love and united in heart and purpose over decades. Jason finally experienced firsthand, up close, how their love for God and people drove them to do their utmost to serve and care for those around them and he witnessed the deep and powerful reach of their influence.
In early September this year (2026), after our beloved Professor Lee returned to his heavenly home, we gathered again in Vancouver with many of these team members to be with Mrs. Lee. Together, at the cemetery where Professor Lee is buried and at their son Peter’s home, we remembered and cherished the memories of our dear Professor Lee. Although Mrs. Lee had just said goodbye to her most beloved husband, was still grieving deeply, and was suffering from a cold, she warmly welcomed us just as she always had. She planned and arranged the accommodations, meals, Sunday worship attendance, and even sightseeing itinerary for such a large group of us! Seeing how she trusted and relied on God, drawing heavenly peace and strength from Him, was an indescribable encouragement to each of us!
Although I was not part of Professor Lee’s core co-worker team during my time at Tunghai University, I still had many opportunities to experience Professor and Mrs. Lee’s Christlike character because our dear sister Feng-Zhen led a Bible study for us four female classmates from my architecture class. I was particularly deeply impressed by seeing my upperclassmen —such as Yan Kuang-Han, Ah Kang (Peng Kang-Jian), and Ah Biao (Shen Jin-Biao)—faithfully continuing the practice of discipleship under Professor Lee's guidance, as well as witnessing firsthand the life transformations of my architecture classmates, such as Ah Wei (Chen Zeng-Wei), Sure (Lin Shou-Ren), and Zhou Zi-Ai, etc. Once, after staying awake for three consecutive days to finish a design project, I suddenly suffered from hyperventilation due to exhaustion and emotional stress. I don't remember who went to inform Professor Lee, but he rushed over immediately to help me. He used a paper bag to help my breathing gradually stabilize, which touched me beyond words! During my college years, I also went through severe emotional turmoil and the tough decision to change majors. Professor Lee's understanding and encouragement served as a vital pillar of support for me! Because of this, before going abroad for further studies, I knelt by my bed and prayed to God, telling Him that I would no longer trust my own judgment and choices. I asked Him to be my Lord, to guide the path of my entire life, and to help me obey His leading just as Professor and Mrs. Lee did. At the time, I didn't know what the future held, but I felt much more at peace. Looking back many years later, I clearly see that God answered my sincere prayer of commitment—He truly is a faithful Lord!
Even for God's beloved children, the path of life is not always filled with the fragrance of flowers - just as it was for our Lord Jesus, who didn't even have a place to lay His head! But God promises to be with us, and nothing can separate us from the love of God. He gives us the strength to walk through the valley of the shadow of death with Him, to hold fast to the hope of eternal life, and to firmly believe that God's kingdom will ultimately come! Therefore, we run not like those running aimlessly(1 Corinthians 9:23-27); even when in extreme hardship, if we place all the broken pieces into God's hands, He is fully able to bring beauty out of the ashes in the ruins. (Isaiah 61:3-4, Romans 8:28).
Thinking of the deep grief Professor and Mrs. Lee experienced over the loss of their beloved daughter, Stephanie —and reflecting on our own difficult years seeking medical care when our daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer, as well as a recent major storm where our daughter-in-law suddenly insisted on a divorce to "find herself" (so that we have felt the heavy responsibility of being a stable pillar for our four vulnerable little granddaughters)—we naturally feel a heart-wrenching pain. However, Jesus has already told us that in this world we will have trouble, but we can take heart because He has overcome the world(John 16:33). Professor and Mrs. Lee have set an example for us: no matter what, as long as we firmly rely on God, continue to follow the Lord, love God and love others, we can complete our life’s journey in a meaningful and purposeful way through the strength of the Lord!
Professor Lee has now joined the cloud of witnesses in heaven, waiting for us to take the baton and follow in his footsteps! May God preserve the fruits of Professor Lee's lifelong labor for His kingdom, causing them to endure for generations to come. May we also continue to encourage and support one another as we run the heavenly race together!
陳琮徽 / Tzong-Huei Emily Li
I read through an English translation of my wife's tribute to Professor and Mrs.Lee and I completely resonate with what she wrote. As Tzong-Huei said, I was very encouraged and impacted by her stories of the Lees even before I met them. I am especially thankful to have had the opportunity to spend some personal time with them in recent years when we took an Alaska cruise with the Lees and some of their long-term co-workers and, most recently, in Vancouver getting together with Mrs. Lee and many others to honor and remember Professor Lee.
The time spent on the Alaska cruise and memorial time for Professor Lee deeply impacted me. The Alaska cruise gave me opportunity to get to know the Lees "up close" as well as many of their beloved co-laboring team. I was deeply touched by.... the mutual tenderness, love and caring so evident between the co-workers and the Lee's (and between Professor and Mrs. Lee)... the stories shared on the cruise and at Professor Lee's memorial time of how the Lee's loved and impacted so many for Christ... stories of how these coworkers were continuing to pass on the love of Christ in their spheres of influence... One of the deepest "take aways" for me from my time with the Lee's and their coworkers comes from seeing the power and impact of lives fully yielded to the love of Christ and how such lives can bear Kingdom fruit that will last, as evidenced in the many co-workers who are devoting their lives to following Christ and passing what the Lees faithfully passed on to them.
After the Alaska cruise I somewhat jokingly shared with Tzong-Huei, "I'd like to be the Lees when I grow up" (I just turned 70) but I was actually serious. I left the memorial time in Vancouver with the thought of how much God can do in terms of bearing Kingdom fruit that will last when we offer ourselves wholeheartedly to the Lord. The Lees are such a powerful and inspiring example of that for me. Their example moves me to want to offer the remaining years the Lord gives me/us to God to bear fruit that will last. What could a more meaningful way to invest my/our remaining years? I left Vancouver memorizing and praying over II Corinthians 5:14-15: "For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again." Thank you, Professor and Mrs. Lee, for living your lives wholeheartedly for Christ!
- Jason Li
We loved Bill as a brother and friend. God loved Bill as His faithful servant. Even though Bill walked through the shadow of death, death could not claim him. Bill is now in the presence of our Lord and we can rejoice in hearing “ Well done my good and faithful servant!”
- Drs. Graham & Loretta L.
The well known British pastor, F. B. Meyer, once said:”He is the richest man in the esteem of the world who has gotten most. He is the richest man in the esteem of heaven who has given most.” Bill was a wealthy man. The numerous tributes attest to his riches. He and Miriam were always giving to others. Kathy and I first experienced Bill’s loving acceptance of us by his welcoming us to serve the Lord in Taiwan. Over the years we had the honor of seeing their loving spirit in serving so many. He truly did live well! May the Lord richly bless Miriam and his family in the days ahead.
-Love, Gary and Kathy Webster
Uncle Bill had a prominent role in our faith journey that it is hard to imagine he is gone. From the time of our baptism Bill has been a mentor to Tillie and I. In true Navigator tradition, he would disciple us by example, often meeting us in his camper parked outside Lord Grace Church on Friday evenings. He would baptize my mom at that same church some years later. His optimism and his cheerful demeanor are rooted in his strong faith in the Lord. He would always insist on seeing the best in everyone. He is the quintessential servant of God. 2Timothy 4;7 reads”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. Goodbye dear Uncle Bill. We will miss you so much! As j close my eyes in prayer, I can almost hear the Lord whispering, well done, good and faithful servant.

With deepest condolences to Bill’s family on the loss of a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and a true legend to the many people whose lives he touched. Dr. Bill Lee was an extraordinary person—a shining star, a remarkable man, and a precious gift from God. He was truly a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. I first met Bill at a UBC Navigators meeting while he was pursuing his PhD. Later, I had the privilege of having a meal at his home in Taiwan with his wife , Miriam, and children. I immediately sensed the warmth, love, and caring that filled the Lee family. That same warmth continued throughout the years, including the time I had the privilege of serving with Bill as a fellow board member of Jia Hua Foundation, where we often held meetings in his home. Bill was a man of great kindness, wisdom, integrity, compassion, and a deep confidence in God. He was gentle, humorous, caring, and always cheerful. I was especially touched by his openness and respect toward people of different faiths and backgrounds. Bill was not only a great professor and missionary; he was also a mentor and friend who had a profound impact on many young people who crossed his path, including my own sons. He nurtured young lives, guided them with wisdom, and encouraged them with genuine friendship and love. I am deeply grateful to God for sending such a shining star into our lives. Bill’s example has inspired me, and I pray that I can emulate the goodness, faith, compassion, and love that he demonstrated throughout his life. We will miss Bill dearly. His memory will remain in our hearts, and we will cherish the many blessings he brought to our lives.

Observing Bill over the past few decades showed to so many of us what an exemplary servant of Jesus he was. Open smile, open life, open home and open heart. And wisdom that could only come a close relationship with God. I rejoice that he is presently fellowshipping with his Lord as much as I will miss his friendship here on earth. Much love to the Lee Family

We had the privilege of serving with the Lee's in Taiwan and will never forget their example of hospitality and Christ centered grace. Bill was the ultimate servant leader and missionary. His legacy is unmatched. His joy in heaven helps compensate for our loss here on earth. May his tribe increase 30,60, and a 100 fold.

The vision of him standing behind the curtains in the storage space at The Well Cafe in the early dawn most mornings to pray, hidden and unknown to others, as I come on duty to open the cafe has been one of my deepest memories of my early days in Vancouver.

You know those people you didn't spend a lot of time with, but somehow it feels like you've always been friends? More than friends, really. Kindred spirits. That was Uncle Bill for me. He was a gentle giant. Humble, and generous with his time. One of those people you don't forget, and all for good reasons. When he talked with you, he was actually interested in what you had to say. He wasn't just waiting for his turn. He listened. He was cheerful, warm, always encouraging. Easy to be around. I can't point to one particular conversation. What I remember is how he made me feel. Like I mattered. Like I was worth his time. You always left glad you'd been with him. He gave his life to missions, and you could feel his love for the Lord every time he shared the Word at our church. He didn't just talk about God. The way he lived made you want to know Him more, and I always came away challenged to go deeper. That's how I'll remember Uncle Bill. A gentle giant, a kindred heart, and a man whose love for God quietly rubbed off on everyone around him.

I am most certain that Uncle Bill has been greeted with open arms from Jesus. A race well run, and a life well lived for Him. We will meet again soon!

Uncle Bill was a giant of the faith who touched so many lives. His simple presence was a reminder of God’s grace and love. His warm smile. His teaching and love for others. So powerful and such an incredible outpouring of the Holy Spirit. A race run so well and with such power and obedience to God.

Truly a man of faith, wisdom, and who exemplified the Love of Christ to those around him. Bill was such a blessing to me through his kindness, thoughtfulness and support at LPC. I'll miss those conversations with him. Blessings to Mirian and family- Christ be with you!

Dear Auntie Mirian and Lee Family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Uncle Bill was like a spiritual "Grandfather" to me. Just watching his godly example over the years, faithfully serving the church family as an Elder, spoke volumes to all of us. Your warm hospitality and mentorship to our Young Adults CAP group left indelible marks on our lives. Uncle Bill was the quintessential gentleman and reflected the nature of Jesus- who Himself is "gentle and humble in heart." What a true blessing and privilege it has been to know Uncle Bill, and I’ll miss him too.

Dear Uncle Bill, your impact on the youth of CCC and LPC is immeasurable. I always feel thankful I had the fellowship of my peers to keep me out of trouble during the pivotal teenage years. It also did not go unnoticed every time I came back from university or Toronto that I was met with such a warm welcome by you. It’s a loss for this earth, but I am sure you will be warmly received in heaven as you have shared that same warmth with so many during your life. Rest in peace.
- Stella T.
Until we see each other in heaven, I will follow your example and fight the good fight and run the race. Thank you for setting such a great example.
